A hedonistic, rich and juicy, tasty California blend to enjoy on a cold winterish evening. A bit wild around the edges, spicy, almost prickly initially, but developed nicely over the evening. I enjoyed it, my wife enjoyed it even more. Can still keep a few years, but perfect to drink now.

Tasting at Bruce & Marsha C's House: Nose: Floral and perfumed with blue and black fruited. Palate: Dark fruited with very little tannin and a long finish.

Started off without body but after it opened up or has a great complexity of flavor. Hint of Pinot nose without Pinot flavor. A little floral with good tannins.

One hour decant ... Definitely one of the best Desparada's I've sampled to date, this is beautifully balanced, with rich up front cherry fruit and some spice, before blossoming into a dry mid with plenty of tannic backbone. Manages to be crowd-pleasing, but still light on its feet; never felt heavy or dense. Just lovely stuff. Definitely need more!
