After a 3 hour decant, the 2010 Cemetery is almost explosive, with big red-blue fruits, some cayenne, and unfortunately drying tannins that appear on the mid-palate and expand on the finish. It’s really mouth filling, and a little unruly, but sort of joyful to drink (in comparison to the mournful label art). I have a few more bottles, and it would be great if the tannins soften before the fruit dissipates but I’m not sure that will happen.

One year ago I described this wine as fairly primary with a thick texture and deep purple fruit. Tonight after a two hour decant the 2010 Cemetery appealed to me as a wine of finesse which offered a large measure of blue-purple fruit with some complexity and surprisingly light weight. The first glass was almost delicate. The wine grew heavier with a somewhat more tannic backbone after a few hours, but was harmonious throughout. Very enjoyable and also thought-provoking as it evolved during the evening.

Ready to drink, could have up to 5 years. First time having Cemetery vineyard, I’m pretty impressed. Nice effort, I’ll seek out more

Last glads was the best but this wine came off more delicate than I would have guessed and lacked structure for the long haul.
