90 min double decant, then Vacuvin’d overnight and drank the following evening. Deep dark magenta color. Freshly crushed blackberry, lemon blossom, wild strawberry, anise, hickory bark, walnut, orange rind, and subtle ginger snap on the complex nose. Crushed velvety, tongue drying palate. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish.
Very well built and a bit youthful at the moment. Interesting combination of sweet and savory notes. Terrific QPR.
