  • Drank over several hours and it showed best after being open for two.

In a bright, seductive, and open knit style. It features red fruits and berries, with purple berry accents, flower garden, sweet herbs, pipe tobacco, and (polished) terroir. An absence of new oak and relatively integrated alcohol also stand out. It drinks nicely now, after two hours of air, and it should hold form through 2030.

  • Big juicy black raspberry, violet, a bit of funk from mourvedre?, dark color, deep minerality, but still a bit rough around the edges. This hopefully will calm down a bit with a year or two in cellar. New world style in an old world package. Would have guessed Paso Robles if tasted blind.

  • This is starting to come around. I had one bottle previously but was too closed up. Now the fruit is starting to emerge and will only get better with time. It went great with an early traditional Thanksgiving meal.

  • Comprised of 95% Grenache and 5% Mourvèdre, this deep ruby Southern Rhone has lots to offer. Loaded with dark bramble fruits, pepper-laced black cherries, bittersweet chocolate, Provençal herbs and loamy earth, it is medium-bodied, fresh, minimally oaked red with soft tannins and seamless alcohol (despite being listed as 15%). Dense in the middle and lengthy on the back end, this is a modern version of the appellation that should show well throughout the remainder of this decade. Sampled over three hours from a bottle that had been decanted through a Vinturi aerator, this showed best after the first two hours in carafe. Drink now-2030.

  • Earthy and ripe on day 1. Day 2 it is very good with a floral nose, red and black fruit, and the alcohol (despite being 15%) is not detectable. Pretty good modern style Rhône blend at this price point
