100% Tannat from very old vines, long maceration, ageing 14 to 16 months in new French barrels, 14% vol.
Decanted 4 hours before dinner into a flat decanter. On the nose quite shy for a wine from Brumont with black berries, a pleasant warm appearance and a suggestion of leather and tobacco. On the palate full bodied with good structure and mouthfeel, finishes very long without being intrusive, everything fits together, 92+.
Great wine that is still at the beginning of its drinking window with many years ahead, a long decant is highly recommended at this stage.

Beautiful window now. Fully aromatic, rounded tannins after just one hour decant. Tannat at its best. Beats other Cuvees from Alain Brumont such as Chateau Montus, Chateau Montus La Tyre. Montus Prestige and even Montus XL.

Decanted two hours before dinner. Starts quite primary with red and black berries and a hint of tertiary notes that gets more intense with time. On the palates good acidity, focused, dense and long, the oak is integrated now. Quite powerful but still rather classical, good to have a counter part that calms this down (my preference is on sheep cheese). This wine requires patience and a long decant to be enjoyed, superb price to quality relation. 92 points for now, with potential for one or two points more in some years.

Double decanted, drank a glass and left the rest for a day. On first day nice primary fruit (black currant) and noticeable oak (tobacco, vanilla) on the nose, on the palate good acidity, concentrated and dense, dry finish, a bit austere. On second day similar on the nose, but more approachable on the palate, medium to long finish. Still not very developed, better wait some more years, it is made for a long life (2020 - 2030+), 91-93 points.

PnP, closed nose with slight fruit on palette. Tannins still noticeable, going to try it again in a year. Not remarkable, but not terrible either.
