Just lovely mature Gevrey-Chambertin! Beautiful earthy and fruity nose despite its age. Rich yet light on the tongue. Lots of cherry and earthy mushroom and a touch of mint. Nice long finish. Great with both a pork and pasta dish and medium rare duck breast at Restaurant Lorena in Maplewood, NJ. I wish it wasn't my last bottle...

Where is the fruit? Not sure if it is even there? This is all forest floor, leaves, mushrooms, and farmland runoff. It was not cooked and acidity and tannins still evident, just not enough fruit for me.
