Knoll Ried Schütt vertical + X (Restaurant Brunnenstube, Beinstein): Clear, deep golden color. Very fresh, deep and mineral nose. For me very similar of 1995 with a bit less complexity. Botrytis, but also some fresh lime, very mineral and spicy, very lean and fresh with a high, wonderfully integrated acidity. Long! 93

Highly structured, sleek, minerally wine. A bit less plump than previous bottles, but still stunning. Gained a bit more weight as it warmed up and aired out. Copious acids and lengthy finish. Shows no signs of aging. No petrol-y aromas. Still a baby. Lots of sediment, however.

Keeps getting better with age. Darkish yellow color, custard, grapefruit, apricots, minerals and an ever so slight hint of petrol. Dry, minerally finish. Quite a ways to go yet on the maturity ladder.

Beringer Vertical @ Surf Village (Milford): (Beringer Vertical, Milford) Another stellar performace. Great sweet tastes of peach, minerals, and flint, with great mouth watering acidity. Very long, and bone dry on the palate. An open bottle left overnight was even better. Killer stuff.

Deep yellow in color. Thick in texture, as the wine was swirled. Big nose of tropical fruits and minerals. Very concentrated wine. Oranges, pineapples, and a bit of custard. Very nice, dusty, mineraly finish. At once thick, and crisp. Wonderful wine that can be drunk over a long period of time, without being heavy.
