Day 1 this was flimsy and glad I was getting rid of it. Totally mediocre plummy and light in body. Thanks RBFleming for reminding me to get rid of this bottle I came back to this on day 3 and it was so so much better. It gained weight and depth with same flavor profile in a mature way. DO NOT pnp this. Open a day early or decant morning of consumption otherwise it’s run of the mill.

After enjoying the 2019 Benito Dusi I thought I’d roll the dice on this. As noted on the aforementioned wine I normally would wait until this has 5+ years from vintage date before going in. Day 1 this had some stewed plum, medium weight and oak. Just okay. Day 2 I hoped for a revelation. On day two it was similar, nothing revelatory. Drink inside the next 3 years.

PnP. Color is deep garnet. On the nose: Raspberries, blackberries, cherry and plum. On the palate: Raspberries, blackberries, vanilla , cherry and baking spices. Soft and round. Nice wine.

Light in color and body. Some spice and tobacco. Pleasant but not a knockout.

quite juicy and dark fruit, lingering dark cherry finish, some dust. the petite sirah really pops here
