  • Beautiful wine. I was a bit worried at first because of the moldy cork and intense rubber aroma, but the rubberiness disappeared 30 minutes after opening the bottle. A beautiful rich yellow that faded to watery clear on the rim. Smelled of peaches, honey, and a touch of earthiness. Beautifully concentrated honey on the tongue that was quickly washed away with a sneaky but lingering acidity. Paired really well with Indian food.

  • It's common to read in a tasting note the concept of a wine 'uncoiling' with age or air. I like to think of this wine 'coiling' with age, the underlying acid becoming more prominent with age and sharpening the edges of the always lovely white fruit. I found this to be a fantastic wine, a coiled beast. Excellent to Outstanding.
