Honestly, much sweeter than I expected. There was a bit of a secondary fermentation that took place in the bottle that must have not been intentional? Dried apricots, some acid--but not enough for balance. I know of 30 other Rieslings I would rather be drinking at this price point.

PnP. Light straw color, nose is stone fruit, lime leaf/lime zest, and stones. Palate is similar. It has more body than I was expecting and has a slight ripeness to it, but it has a solid acid backbone that more or less brings the fruit into balance. There's a slight CO2 spritziness to it when opened which also helps to lighten the body. Stones and minerals in the finish. This is a riper vintage, but this still manages to come across as fresh and bright. I prefer the 2021's I've had from Ludes, but this is still a solid wine and good value.

I do find this slightly ripe for a kabinett, with some sweet sticky fruit and not that lean laciness of classic kabinett. It has good depth but lacking just a bit of tension for me.

Loved the late releases from the producer and this was my first experience with a recent vintage singing tonight lots of lime, popping crushed/dusty minerals and a complex savory tropical note I found intriguing but couldn’t quite place it, palate had a slight spritz feel to it when first opened but softened nicely , beautiful harmonious acidity and a medium plus finish
