Solid value, but lacks the acid, precision, depth and minerality of a really good mosel. Then again, for $15 or so…. The fruit shines but, while there is some acid, I find a definite lack of balance. Also, significantly sweeter than I would expect from a kabinett. Nice, easy drinking, flavorful Riesling.

Lovely refreshing bottle of wine. Nose is slight, but has some floral and citrus aroma. The wine has some medium to high acid with medium minerality. Pear and apricot overtones. Great to start the evening.
Joeme has got the flavour profile of this wine spot on. This represents outstanding value for what you get - Graacher Himmelreich is an exalted site and as vintages get consistently warmer, the extra elevation of the site helps.
This is a more traditional Mosel style and there is a little residual sugar, although the finish is clean and fruity, rather than sweet. However, be careful for whom you open this if in Oz, because our drinkers are reared on very dry Riesling and will tend to struggle with the flavour profile and the 'sweetness'. It is depressing how stupid people can be and how sure they can be in their provincialism.
You are not getting quite the pristine fruit or the wonderful structure of the equivalent JJ Prum Graacher Himmelreich, but you are paying about 1/2 the price.
It reflects my age, but whilst the Porsche 944 or the BMW 318 were indeed not the same as the 911 or the 325 (or even the 320), they were still giving the driver an approximation of the marque and they offered this at a price that was in reach if the 'real deal' was not. This wine is similar. Go for the Prum if you can, but if you want to get an approximation, or merely to have a high-quality mid-week drink, this is a great place to go. Then swindle, knife, burgle and lie your way to the funds to get plenty of Prum. Yes, politics, social media influencer or lawyer are the road for you.
