Definitely an off bottle--though odd for that to be the case with synthetic cork and supposed sterile filtering. Disjointed, sour-bitter taste, oak sticking out.

1 year later totally closed, no nose, no palate; decanted for one hour, cooled down to 58°, perhaps a light bit of fruit on the palate, no aroma as completely dumb
Second night, no aroma to start, a little more fruit on the palate, pleasant and oddly quite drinkable; only on the last glass at the bottom of the bottle, developing aromas of Bergamot tea, colas, rose petals, the beginning of burgeoning aromas but alas, the end of the bottle 😂
HOLD minimum six months; if possible, one year
While reviewing a prior note, I recalled a last glass in 2022 began to close down, both-aroma and palate; will this be a very fine pinot in the future? reminiscent of a 2005 jim maresh bottling that was amazing…15 years later
Final bottle. Followed a very well aged right bank bordeaux that emptied too quickly.
Always fun to taste the contrast. Was not thicker than the umami and smooth bordeaux but had more acid and brightness and was a tad less smooth. A shorter than preferred mid-palate. But a nice aftertaste
Food was designed around summer and lots of salads and such. So the taste jived well
Just as others have said, difficult to classify this wine - but very enjoyable

On pop'n'pour, seemed overrun by oak. However, like a prior bottle, with air felt more integrated, though certainly a Pinot in a Cabernet style--more extracted and brawny, a bit of a Power Pinot. Still, nice delicious factor, even if not a varietal-focused style.

It was at its best at the end of the night. Next time decant, or let them rest longer.
