Deep color. The nose shows aromas of dark cherries, flowers, minerals, tilled soil and a hint of spices. This is medium full bodied on the palate with excellent concentration and real class. The fairly long finish features moderate grip. Classy for Santenay.

{Tasted open bottle at Ansonia in Newton, MA today} Ripe, delicious fruit, both more fragrant and supple and complex than the Santenays of > 10 years ago. Very sophisticated fruit especially for a Santenay, some spice and violets in the mix. Good soil, some minerals, good attack and length and depth. Still a young but if you have a few, no reason not to drink one now. Of the ~ 10 reds they had open today, only the Michel Gros NSG Chaliots was in the same class. Can't comment on how it would have developed with more time, I think this bottle had been open (not decanted) about 2 - 2.5 hours.
Bought 18 on release, took home one more bottle today!

Deep color. The nose shows serious aromas of dark cherries, flowers, spices, earth and a hint of minerals. This is medium bodied on the palate with excellent concentration and very good class. The medium plus length finish features good tannic grip. Just a bit young. This will hit its stride in a year or two.

Medium+ nose intensity with notes of red and black fruits, cherry, spices. Medium+ acidity and medium tannin. Still youthful.
