  Tasted at the family cascina at the top of the Montestefano vineyard with Teobaldo and Maria, neither of whom speak English. For us this was fun but difficult as my Italian is poor. They were sold out of most of their wines and were waiting for the release of the 2019 Barbaresco so we only were able to try 3 wines. All were on point and delicious. This wine was, like the 2021, a bright light to medium garnet color, perhaps a half tone darker. It was a good deal more fragrant (a little more bottle age?) with lots of floral notes and a distinct perfume that was "huge" in my notes. Like a fine ladies cologne in a good way. It is a touch less structured however with less acidity and tannin on the palate. Fresh, precise and long on the finish. A true baby Barbaresco with real class.

  nice bright tart wine started kinda tame but opened nicely mostly consumed with a cigar

  A Langhe Nebbiolo that surpasses most Barolos and Barbarescos. Simply exquisite!
