Friday Wine Group - JL (Blind Lunch): Tasted blind - nose of pineapple. Very strong pineapple. Fruit forward flavors, and perfectly balanced sweetness. I called a late harvest viognier, as it reminded me of the Matthiason late harvest. This wine is composed of 25+% viognier, so close enough. Paired excellent with pineapple upside down cake.

(NV Jonata Winery La Miel de Jonata) Light orange color with orange lights and 1 millimeter clear meniscus; intense, ripe orange, cantaloupe, tangerine nose; silky textured, rich, juicy, tangerine honey, papaya palate; long finish (80% Semillon, 20% Sauvignon Blanc; one of the best Cali sweet wines I've tasted)

Honey and tropical fruits - decent acid. Clearly California terroir.
