This looks like a winner in 2020! Surprisingly complex on the nose with violets, licorice, some meaty and cedary scents and sweet dark fruits. In the mouth the wine is typical for the Villars-Lurton stable: Elegantly medium-bodied but quite intense, nicely textured and persistent, effortlessly natural, fresh and also quite structured. In fact, the wine reminds me a lot of Chateau Ferriere, in a lesser way, but only slightly so. I can't think of more Margaux for the money?!
PnP, from 0.375l bottle, 13% Alc., deep purple red color.
Nose: Charming red and violet fruit impression
Palate: Clearly less wood used than the previously drunk Malartic. So more charming. Other than that, everything is so-so. Nothing really bad - but nothing exciting either. Drinking pleasure at the moment about 88 Pts.

59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 12% Petit Verdot 30hl/ha (42-45 is the norm) From 40% to 20% new wood now, and shorter elevage in oak. Organic and biodynamic certified, since 2018
Deep/mid ruby Good nose: pretty, some graphite/pencil shaving definition, very fine toast and a cool, fresh quality of cassis and black raspberry.
Good concentration and intensity, offers up some chunky dark fruit, crisper red fruits, a little spice. Big, soft, chalky grip, lovely acidity – plenty of oomph and charm, and elegance too.
