This was a "value" purchase from the lauded 2005 vintage, and the first bottle I've tried 13 years later. Drank over 3 nights, and it showed its best at the end. By day 3, this had developed lovely secondary aromas of cedar, tobacco spice, and bay leaf/lavender, with expressive cassis and black cherry fruit on the palate, and medium+ tannins. Good now, but I think this will continue to improve over the next 5 years.

This is certainly a slow developer (05s are like that....surprisingly given how luscious they were en primeur). It is a bit green when opened, but after 2 hours decant was improving markedly and becoming quite gentle. Ergo, be patient. It is, after all, 'only' 15 years old. [In fact, if you want to see how fascinating Bordeaux wines can be, read all the CT notes on this wine, and watch the ups and downs of this relatively modest wine over the last 15 years...people predicting the imminent demise of the wine 10 and more years ago.... Where else do you find that....?]

Light in style....very smooth with a bit of fruit. Lovely and this bottle still has a few years in it I think. Nice with roast lamb and very under rated in other comments albeit definitely not a complex wine. Drank from the bottle no decanting

This was the last bottle of a case bought on futures. Unlike the bottle that we took to the restaurant the night before, this had plenty of fruit left. Flavors of plum and red cherry carried through to the high-toned finish. Not exceedingly complex but very satisfying.

Losing fruit, tannin and alcohol coming through.
