This is low end Champagne. Paid $28 in Florida. At this price you can not expect much and that is what I received. Best guess is that it is made from very young vines or purchased from growers low end grapes. Nothing really special. I would be hard pressed to guess this was Champagne, if tasted blind. Look elsewhere, not recommended. Had this with fresh stone crabs that cry out for Champagne or Chablis.

Second wine of Billecart-Salmon. Almond paste, yeast, white peach, allium. Others have noted acidity is hard-edged, but I actually would prefer more here, and certainly more concentration. As much as I love it, Champagne remains the most difficult wine for me to taste / understand.

fine bubble stream. light gold, in color. white flowers, pear, white peach, mirabelle plum, lime, lemon, almonds, pepper, brioche, butter, mineral. creamy, citrus peel, sharp acidity, tart fruit, on the finish.
