  • Upon pulling the cork, this Sancerre is immediately open for business with citrus zest and minerality on the nose. There is grapefruit melded with pineapple on the platate with light acidity, which is balanced out by the slight residual sweetness and high alcohol at 14% making it extremely drinkable yet worth savoring with each and every sip. This makes the wine dangerous as it leaves just you wanting more. The best temperature for serving this wine seems to be around 12°C. Not sure where it will head from here, but I would expect drinking enjoyment over the next 5 years with some modest upside. Reasonable QPR on the quality side of the ratio.

  • Suggested by the sommelier of La Loma.
Beautiful nose with green and herbaceous elements like grass and nettle, fruit as in sweet strawberry candy and a lovely flintiness and minerality. On the palate, dry, medium-plus bodied, crisp acidity, medium-high alcohol. Mouth filling and refreshing. Very nice finish.
This has ageing potential but this is very good already. Delicious really. I will lookout for this and buy some.
