  Had this again, really nice. Needed good decant and then displayed complex aromas of smoke, dark fruit, generous yet fresh and deleniated palate. This will give even high quality Cote Rotie a run for their money.

  Top showing. This wine gets a lot of praise from the pro tasters. Easy to see why. End to end a great wine, aromatic, good Northern Rhone typicity, polished tannins, fresh mouth feel. With 13.5% Alc highly drinkable. Excellent QPR due to the fact that St.Joseph is still an under the radar appellation. Buy now, before it gets more expensive.

  Syrah blind tasting. 3 syrahs of varying price ranges (20$ 50$ and 100$)
  
  I knew this was a decent wine from the start. Red fruits and herbs. Decently long on the palate and good evolution over the evening. I guessed that this was the mid tier wine. Very enjoyable.
  
  20$ wine was Vigne d'à côté by Cuilleron 92pts
  
  100$ wine was Fructus Voluptas by Jamet 89pts

  First go w this Tardieu-Laurent VV Saint-Joseph (v20, 13.5% ABV) - an elegant, modern, sleek Syrah - all in balance & super-approachable at this young age. Medium-garnet, unfiltered/unfined, semi-translucent w darkish core in appearance. Fine & pure nose showcasing black cherries, blackberries, striking white pepper, dried herbs. Medium-bodied palate, velvet in style, flavours echoing nose w addition of blueberries & distinct chalky touch at the end, fine concentration & mouthfeel, closing on a mineral-spicy note!
