Medium nose shows bramble, dried spice, blackberry, red plum, fresh earth, leather. Palate shows more Old World tones, forest floor, cedar, pencil shavings, red/black fruits, herbs, light leather. Medium plus structure with tannins, alcohol, body. Really well made and unique for CA.
No new oak 2 years in barrel. 2018 is current release.

tasted to try for the C&A wedding, this was very nice, particularly (not surprising) on day two... just had the last sip on day three AM and best... needs years of cellaring, but appreciate the 14% alcohol (wish they would have given me a decimal point??)... very hard to find that level (or ideally lower) in CA cabs these days... bummer on that, but this was good... imagining 92-93 in 5-10 years

Has that touch of a savory note to it. An old-school cabernet note to it. Juicy in the mid palate, with a lovely black currant character. Nothing not to like, and will continue to go much farther.

Nose: Dark blackberry, tomato leaf, pine. Palate: Grape skin that gives the wine a sense of being naked; light and bright fruit, juicy blackberry, more raspberry comes on with tie in the glass; hint of dry dirt on the finish, soft and warming tannins.

Solid wine, notes of blueberry. Definitely needs more time to open up. Ordered at a bar, maybe decanting would help.
