  • This is a nice Barbaresco from Piedmont.

Medium in body with medium plus acidity.

Showing raspberries, sour cherries, cranberries, light oak, forest floor, spices, tobacco leaf, coffee and peppercorn.

Tangy finish with round tannins and tangy cranberries.

Shows good structure with a nice mouthfeel. Spicy and entertaining.

Good right out of the bottle and better after 2 hours.

This 5 year old will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.

A good food wine that will pair nicely with pizza. I paired it with Parmesan cheese.

Aged in French oak barrels for 22 months.

    14% alcohol by volume.

    88 points.

    $36.

Fruity nose of cherries, raspberries, strawberries, sweet spice, earth, light herbs and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Very dry on the palate with sweet strawberries, cherries, raspberries, spices, earth, dark chocolates, black pepper and herbs.

Tangy finish with huge tannins and tangy cranberries.

This is a young Barbaresco from Italy. Needs 3 to 5 years to mature, and calm down a bit.

    Looks lighter than it feels.

Not an easy drinking wine right now, but some bottle time will fix all that.

A good quality wine that would continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
