A nose of dark fruits and spices, dark purple in color. A full bodied red, with black cherry, smokey pepper and spice on long finish, still young, decant. www.winelx.com

Pnp. Nice red cherry and boysenberry on the nose, a little cigar box. Nice dark burgundy coloring, cherry and a little plum on the palate. Very smooth in the mouth, nicely balanced. Mid weight fruit finish. Went great with grilled pork tenderloin. Tough to pick a favorite Carlisle bottling, but Papera is consistently tasty.

Decanted and let breath for 3 1/2 hours. This is the most delicate Papera I’ve ever had…elegant and graceful with citrus and blackberry berry and subtle blueberry. Nose is mostly blackberry. I’m timed the how long the finish lasted after a some mouth swirl…25 seconds! Wow…just a beautiful wine…careful with food pairings as I think heavy food will likely overpower it. Years of life ahead in the cellar but great now as well!

Dark fruit, though a bit ripe with tannins that need another couple years to settle down.

Notes of dried blueberry, sweet cherry, and star anise, with nice acidity. Well balanced, despite high abv.
