Tasted at Benvenuto Brunello in NYC. This has a light to medium garnet color with a nose that is pretty complex and attractive with florals, spices and red berry fruits. Good structure with medium acidity and medium(+) but ripe tannins. Despite a little bite it is still fairly soft and round with a medium to long finish and nice depth. Bright, energetic and balanced, this is another very attractive value in Rosso di Montalcino that rivals a good number of Brunelli at twice the price. Good now with a decant but I would give it a couple of years to soften further.
