Bottle has (unfortunately) turned. I found it in my cellar while I was cleaning things out. Loved the other bottles I had already enjoyed. This one was past its prime.

Great wine, but moreso night 2. Night 1, very good and somewhat burgundian but not as expressive as in its youth. Night 2 - very complex. Now it has really opened up and is maybe less burgundian, but as complex as CA gets. This has red fruit, tart acidity, tobacco, licorice, minerals, hint of flowers and other goodness. Really good with great structure. This would lay down quite a while. I wouldnt have guessed night 1 that it would develop so well.

I'm not typically a big Pinot fan as I find many watery. That said, this is a great wine. Lots of red cherry, great in the mouth and a wonderful finish.

We drank this after an '03 Jordan Cab, and it stood up well against the much more complex cab. I was very impressed. It was light, but still had strong hints of cherry and blackberry.

Tasted at the winery. This is a delightful pinot - much more Burgundian than the typical California pinot noir. It was lean and elegant, while retaining strong notes of cherry and blackberry. It was light, but I am very interested to see how it does with a couple more years of bottle age.
