Cameron Wine Dinner with John Paul (Estadio - DC): Nose of cherries, raspberries, smoke, herbs, clove, rich aromas. Tangy on the palate, still youthful with tannins, but nothing is harsh, it shows finesse. Still juicy and tart red fruits, with lots of spice and clove, earthy, smoky tones. Muscular but not heavy, stays fresh and so bright, plenty of time ahead but I also feel like there's a lot to be enjoyed in drinking now.

Third Annual Holiday Party (The House - Woodley Park): Definitely some stinkiness on the nose, but that blew off a bit to show pepper, earth, dark cherries. Very grippy tannins and great acid. Really pure flavors. It still has a long life ahead of it and is just starting to develop those Roblet-Monnot meat flavors.

Beautiful soft Burgundy. Well balanced tannins and fruit, perfect with true cod/lemon/pepper
