I thought this was drinking very well, seven years into its life.
This smelled like buttered popcorn when I first popped the cork, but then very ripe fruit and honey (if you hold longer, I would imagine that you will soon get more of that overly ripe fruit taste).
On the palate, green grass when first opened, but ripe pear and apple as it sat, maybe even some macadamia nut. Throughout the night, the constant flavors were meyer lemon/orange flower water on the front end and nice typical Mersault mineral on the finish, which was long and memorable.
This was best at about 60 degrees or so, practically room temperature. This also drank best a good 3 hours after the cork was popped.
This wine was very enjoyable and kept on giving over a long period of time (new flavors with each glass). $90 seems steep, but that subtle “Mersault minearality” might be worth the steep price tag. Mersault is my favorite white wine.

Has a bit of a sour apple note on the nose. Pure on the palate and very long. No sign of pre-mox.

Sulfur masked this one almost to the point of a flaw. Petrol but gas like taste, not the riesling petrol I like.

Lilac, lemon, balanced oak. Very minerally with good acidity. With time it evolved and gained complexity in the glass.

This was rather disappointing for a meursault. Went well with food but not a $48 wine.
