Clear medium ruby/purple; clean medium plus nose of cassis, vanilla and black licorice; dry; medium plus acidity; medium plus tannins; high alcohol; medium plus to full body; medium plus to pronounced flavour intensity; palate has fruit payoff with addition of cocoa; long finish; drink now; big, ripe fruit bomb; RS is 3g/L but comes across more like 10 g/L and very concocted; tough to drink without food

Big fan of the Jayson and Pahlmeyer offerings, yet surprisingly, I found this a little jammy even if it was relatively easy drinking. I wonder if more air or time in the bottle will take some of it away.

81% Merlot & 19% Cabernet Sauvignon. Decanted 3h then enjoyed over two.
Plum, really nice pipe tobacco, clove, forest floor, vanilla, dark cherry, mocha. Quite enjoyable, and I think two or three years will make this even more magical.

Four hour slow ox. Very very deep magenta color. Black cherry, blackberry, graphite, and toasted cinnamon graham cracker. Dry palate, with soft, dusty acidity. Firm, lower intensity tannins on the medium long+ finish.
I didn’t realize how much I’d enjoy this. It’s very impressive for the money. Perhaps equal to Double Diamond at significantly lower price point. Only had the one bottle, so I may need to order more.
