Color/App: medium/deep yellow/gold core with medium + viscosity. Bouquet of Acacia flower, ginger, grapefruit, melon, honeysuckle and oak. Full bodied with spicy and savoury notes. Yellow apple, ginger and honey again, along with a distinct minerality and a touch of bitters. I find the acid level acceptable and the finish seems moderately long. A really interesting wine with the Roussanne taking the (flavour) wheel of control. I admire the spice and ginger elements & agree with others that this would pair nicely with sushi. I'd opt for drinking this within the next couple of years.

Oak treatment is fairly aggressive—you get that buttery popcorn, but Roussanne is big and handles it OK. The fruit profile has tons of sweet tangerine and a little lime, but it’s very ripe. There’s a crushed seashell mineral component that you’d be forgiven for overlooking with all the ripeness and weighty, viscous mouthfeel. Don’t get me wrong, this is solid stuff, but it’s the white wine that red drinkers who like Orin Swift would like.

Medium gold with green flakes. Medium intensity developing aromas of lemon, lime, almond, honey, apricot, peach, melon and ginger. This wine has medium alcohol and acidity with full body with a coating mouthfeel that ends in a gradual long finish. The palate has flavors of lemon, ginger, almond, melon, lime, honey and apple pie. This is a very good wine that should be drunk now till 2028.

70% Roussanne, 30% Chardonnay.

Nothing like a Roussanne at the right temp. Stolpman is an excellent winemaker. Nuff said!
