This 2006 PYCM Bourgogne Blanc punches above its weight, in blind no one guessed it was anywhere close to 14 years old. Tasted blind – A fresh array of green citrus, creamy brioche and minerals. A generous lactic note on the mid-palate. Village weight with plenty of freshness. 2015? Meursault or Chassagne? (87/100)

tasted blind. sharp acidity on attack, but then quickly goes flabby. the acid is very disjointed, as it keeps coming and going... not much fruit - green apple with slight tropicality. short, sour finish. ID as low-end chardonnay from Burgundy.

Single blind. This is fine. Some oak on the nose. Minerality is there. Lacks concentration. A bit unbalanced. The acidity seems to come and go. Nice lemon water ice note on the mid-palate. Finishes a bit sour.

Nose is dominated by sulfur for the first few hours, to the point where the wine was difficult to enjoy. There are glimpses of clean and ripe fruit, very citric, with nice minerals and structure - should be good wine. But what's with the sulfur whack? Is this Bourgogne meant to age for 10 years? i hope not. on day two it is much better, the sulfur is gone, and the wine is crisp and clean with a nice fruit, acid, mineral balance. but it not special, and not worth the overnight wait.
