Give it over an hour to decant - and it drinks better than what I paid for ($55).
Complex and slightly austere, this drinks so damn good - like a Bordeaux with Sonoma terroir. Red & Black fruits, red fruits, light leather & tobacco, chocolate and dried herbs.
I’d argue this is the best sub $75 Bordeaux blend from California. The high Malbec & Merlot reminds me of the Trefethen Dragon’s Tooth in Oak Knoll of Napa, but I honestly think this is a touch more complex.
Grab a couple of these, and drink one now - then drink one in 4-5 years to unlock more complexity.

Pulled the cork on this last night and gassed off the bottom half for today. 40% Malbec / 32% Merlot/ 14% CS/ 10% CF / 4% Petite Verdot, supposedly all from Sonoma.
Solid if not quite as enjoyable as their Cabernet, this initially comes across as jammy before becoming more approachable. Dark nose seems like Mountain fruit. this has been well served by its overnight air and is really easy to drink. I can see where this could be a real crowd pleaser. An easy 91 they could score higher if there were a QPR multiplier.

Delicious with great structure, tannins, but very drinkable. Cherry, bright fruit and layered. Love the combination of grapes

PNP. Deep dark magenta color. Plum, burnt cinnamon French toast, and blackberry. Smooth, dry palate. Full tannins on the longish finish.
This really needed a one or two hour decant and a chill in the fridge for 30 min (i.e., cold shock). Easy drinker nonetheless.
