Spanish fun day one (N&J's place, Canberra): From Coravin. Dense smelling black and blue fruits, berries; plums, touch of polished oak, sweet spice, savoury and concentrated, a little chalky minerality with a herbaceous underpin and, with time, a touch of jubey blackcurrant. Juicy tending to Medium plus intensity acidity, a melange of dark hued fruits, slightly drying, persistent, coarse, flour textured tannins, smidge of oaky caramel in support. Long, nice.

Way too young. The wine hold lots of potential but is very unforgiving now. Needs time in bottle... next one not before 3 or 4 years.
