Dark meaty fruits, iodine, garrigue, a touch of tobacco. Spicy finish. Fresh, youthful but tannin/acid/alcohol starting to harmonize. A touch of (interesting) green herbs emerged. Will improve over the next 5 years.

Nose is highly aromatic with ripe cranberry, dark cherry, garrigue, floral notes, and a bit of French oak. A little hot at 15% but not offensive. Full body, med acidity, and med+ tannin. This is a fairly big wine but the buttons are holding on. The tannins frame the massive fruit and opulence. A bit more freshness would be nice, so beware. All in all, a powerful, delicious wine at this point that should hang on for the next 5+ years.

Provence in a glass. As simple as that. Anise, lavender, Provençal herbs, wild berry fruit. Silky tannins. STGT. May be the best young Gig I’ve ever tasted. Hors classe indeed.

Fabulous Gigondas. Not at all overpowering for a S Rhône despite its 15% abv. Fruit is restrained on the palate. Smokey minerals.

A powerhouse that needs to settle down. A stallion that needs to settle down rather. Good stuff, just hang on.
