Coravin. Light ruby, youthful color; aromatic, plenty of red cherry and fruit, exceptional rose and floral component; palate is light bodied, balanced 14.5% alcohol, high acidity, red fruited palate, a bit of something savory without obviously in the soy spectrum; finish is medium-long. This is a serious barolo but drinking superbly now. Not just tolerably or providing hints of future greatness, but very enjoyable in a glass with food now. 92+

Beautiful wine, this is in my sweet spot stylistically for Barolo - very red fruited and floral and I love the sense of lightness and finesse here. It's surprisingly silky and easy to drink now - there's plenty of fine grained tannin and acidity here, but enough richness to the fruit that there's genuine enjoyment in a young bottle, rather than mainly feeling structure (whcih was the case with the '17 regular Trediberri Barolo). Definitely a producer I need more of.

Sunday hangout (Glencoe, IL): Light in the style that Trediberri always is, but with a fair bit of nebbiolo tannin of course. Doesn't show the solar quality of the vintage but maybe that's effectively the producer signature. Delicate red fruits in the post-modern nebbiolo style.

Post modern Nebbiolo trying to be more like Pinot. For my palate, failing in both. Tasted disjointed with a weird bitterness in the finish.

First glass was promising... Then spouse put the remainder in the sink by accident. Perfect friday.
