  • This is simply stupendous. On day 1 it is Chablis dialed up to 11, all lemon curd and shells. After a day open it picks up a ton of richness and drives a bit from chablis over towards meursault. Yes it's a very pricey village wine but at "fair" retail (150 US or so) it's hard to argue it's overpriced compared to other white burgs.

  • Opened and poured, this wine gave an excellent showing. The bottle was consumed over three days and the wine may have benefited from the extended airing. The bouquet shows detailed, youthful citrus and oyster shell notes. The color is a bright, very light yellow. The light to medium bodied palate shows focus and balance with a lengthy finish.

  • Opened in the morning for afternoon and 1h decant before serving which im glad I did. Nose is so Chablis. Notes of flint, gunflint, stone, lemon, starfruit, pear. The oak adds a little bit of butter but very subtle. In mouth it’s surprisingly round for such a young wine. The acidity is here and alive, but there is some creaminess as well. It drinks very well. Mouth confirms the nose with those minerals, stone fruit and a hint of salted caramel with a lingering finish. I can’t believe this is a village wine

  • Let's decouple this from the price for a moment. This is fantastic Chablis -- chalky and minerally with that classic salinity and lemony spritz. The style is classically Raveneau. As far as the vintage goes, I haven't had many 2020s yet but I've found them a little light and thin in Chablis and in some cases a touch green. This is light and thin, but thankfully not as green. Given it's a "lowly" village wine, the thinness can be forgiven. This actually comes off as one of those perfect quaffing wines to go with a few dozen raw oysters (extra briny fine de Claire oysters please). But I see that this is almost in the $300 range (on my free wine-searcher.com account). Is it worth that? Hell no.
