  • Absolutely insane nose, a fruit basket from your wildest riesling dreams - apricot, lemon, peach, lemon zest with a fresh breeze coming from a a wildflower-filled meadow on a summer's afternoon. Of course we can't forget the petroleum, electrifying, enchanting, but perfectly balanced. The palate is a vibrant fruit coulis woven of yellow kiwi, mango, peach doused with a squeezed lime. Incredibly long finish, demanding attention - peppery and mineral and mouth watering. The finest Riesling and likely the finest white wine I have tasted during my time here.

  • From a magnum. Mature and drinking fabulously! Aroma of classic aged Riesling, a waxy petrol with honeyed quince. The palate is round and rich with an oily texture that shows some good energy. The fruit profile is ripe and dense with apricot, honeysuckle, and pear nuances. This is well balanced, concentrated and focused. Very well made, bravo!

  • Brilliant Riesling Spätlese, in fact one of the best I have ever tasted! Lot's of quince and minerality. Very long after taste. This bottle is just abour right for drinking now. It will stand, however, effortless for another 10 years!

  • Medium green-yellow color in the glass. Rich aromas of nectarine, flowers, stones, and cherry. On the palate, this shows a big hit of nectarine, tangerine, cherry, and minerals. The finish shows a lemon-lime element and the wine fans out nicely. This has gained weight and improved from the last bottle sampled (circa 2006). There is some dissolved CO2 in this that keeps it fresh. Expect continued development, but this is good now. Hold unless you have multiples, then try one now.

  • Light gold, this off-gassed a bit initially. Offers up a big citrus and white peach nose with wafts of petrol and crushed sea shells. Initially somewhat light on the palate, not quite living up to it's "M", but with time it put on weight, both in fruit intensity and texture. Expands well to the back of the palate with a long mineral finish. Hard to tell if this will improve with time. I will save one for a few more years in the name of science.
