  • Eight months after the prior: Vibrant, energetic, showing lovely suggestions of white ground pepper. Note to self, we really should try to hold the next one a bit longer to see how it evolves. On the other hand, it is dandy right now. Highly enjoyable over three nights.

  • The two notes below describe it very well. To that we will add, as observed in those notes: this has a lovely and vibrant white ground pepper character. Highly enjoyable over three nights, and we look forward to seeing how this evolves in future years.

  • Espresso bean, leafy herbs, red currant, red cherry & plum fruit. Some dried fruit, vegetables & spice on the palate. Seems cool climate, but enough concentration to hold it up. Strict, chewy tannins & bright acid. Has a lot of time to develop here. Clear cut meatiness, graphite and white pepper on the finish. Very good but needs time in bottle to flesh out fully. Drink 2025-2035. Perli is 2200 ft in elevation, 10 miles from ocean. 100% Native Yeast 100% Whole Cluster. Neutral oak for 18 months.

  • Deep purple ruby color, bright in the glass. Aromas of black raspberry & cherry, smoked paprika, pressed violets, mesquite char, bay leaf. Fresh red berry fruit on the palate, with secondary cracked pepper, black tea, mushroom, leather and sun-dried tomato - very savory. Sturdy & dense, medium weight, plenty of verve, rounded edges, a little flesh on the tannins as it closes. Savory and juicy finish, medium length.
