Started very rich on the nose with honey and backed apple, then closed a bit and showed some slightly oxidative notes. Very sweet, a touch spicy on the palate. Candied orange, dark honey, grapefruit syrup. The acidity is not really bad, but still not enough to cut through the extreme richness, somewhat lacking freshness to me. Spicy, honeyed aftertaste, very persistent.

Winorama Canadiana! (Niagara on the Lake): The first of the 'older vintages' that we tasted - this was wonderful and seemed to just get more so over time. There were toasted nuts and burnt caramel and a bit more of a change over the course of the mouthful. Interestingly enough this became even more popular after drinking through the flight for the first time and then coming back. Color was a deep dark amber although not quite as dark as the '95 Vidal

Drinking really nice right now. Perfect blend of sweetness and acidity. Had this with grilled peaches drizzled in honey and all I can say is WOW! This is true icewine!

The best of the most recent Icewines I tried. Just as good as the 1999 which I tried 6 months ago. 93-94 points.
