Charity Wine Pairings for Hospice House Auction winners; 4/6/2024-4/7/2024 (Bellingham): We started the evening by sabering this bottle. Served cold after pop and pour (more of a whack and pour). It started out restrained and savory, dissimilar enough to my previous bottles that I pondered whether it was slightly corked. It simply needed alone time and warm air to blossom into the wine I know and love. Jubilent strawberry, cherry, orange peel. Some stony mineral notes. A delicious rosé with plenty of structure and material for longevity.

Really good from the start. Significantly more ripe than expected but tons of acidic zip. Raspberry, cherry, tart orange peel and mineral. Creamy texture but still very refreshing. Good now but still plenty of gas in the tank.

Vilmart--Emotion and Coeur de Cuvee (select vintages), the meal anchored by Astrid (My House In The South OC): March 2020 disgorgement. 60% Pinot Noir / 40% Chardonnay. Pinkish salmon color, zingy but just a little less electric than the 2014 that I sampled right alongside it, both at about 67f. It has the same chalky impression of the 2014. Concentrated green apple, orange zest, strawberry pastry and red apple. Then, we retasted with the group over dinner, several hours later, this really put on some big-time deliciousness. In fact, one of my WOTN. The concentration and flavor depth here is delicious, with good citrus, slate, all well balanced in a coat of raspberry compote, zesty and bright. This, and the 2013 Coeur de Cuvee, are both showing some high-class stuff right now.

Similar to the Coeur but more PN heavy--somewhat austere for a rose, mineral, not much PN fruit at all, a bit of a conundrum IMHO. Interesting but not showing especially well. EWG retrospective tasting dinner at Conrad's

Nose of raspberry, hint of smoke, orange peels and spices.
Very energetic on the palate, a beautiful acidic structure which gives a juice which asserts itself with flavors of strawberries and raspberries, a woody side and sweet spices. Creamy texture, very nice tension which ends with orange peels in the second part of the palate. Very elegant bitter finish over a long saline length.
Excellent blended rosé, very serene.
