Mörk rubin, mättad. Medelgardiner (12,5 procent). Ganska kraftig men delikat doft av hallon, hallonkärnor och björnbär. Plus något litet diffust som inte är kaffe. Kanske te? Och en tesked oxbuljong. Obetydliga tanniner. Medelsyrligt. Medelfylligt, körsbär, hallon. Fruktaffär. Pytteliten beska kliver in i eftersmaken. Och det är inte dumt alls, knyter ihop bärpåsen. Powerbeaujolais som ändå är frisk och lättdrucken. Med mat eller utan.

This is really good. I generally haven't been a fan of much of '20 Beaujolais (including from reliable producers like Foillard, Coudert, Thivin, etc.), but this bottle was a welcome exception. Classic Gamay fruit on the nose accented with a perfumed spice. Pure silk on the palate. A real winner for my tastes, and happy to have a few more bottles (though I may need to source more given the current WS prices listed).

Bright and fun red fruits throughout, not quite as layered or complete vs when tasted at the domaine in 2021. Slightly hollow middle for now, but I think this will put on weight with cellar time.

WSET Teaching Level 3 for Burgundy (Stellenbosch): (Tasted Blind): A light purple colour, the nose is soft and pure with aromas of violet, crushed blue flowers, chalk dust, blueberry and strawberry tops with hints of mineral. A soft and fruity approach, it initially shows a little reduction in some soft rubber gloves. An elegant, poised wine it is light and easy-drinking with an edgy and mineral-driven acidity. A little stalky for me, the fruit comes across as sour with chewy tannins.

Full colour; blunt nose; rounded, monolithic palate. A dumb phase, hopefully.
