More tannins than I remember, and a bit hot. Still quite good, similar to prior notes. Holds its own against 2 Turleys also opened, both are the '04 Ueberroth .

This is by far and away the best wine I've had from this winery. If this was the nature of every wine produced, the winery would be the next big thing. Rich fruit, brambles, long finish. This is a center of the plate pitch for me re: Zinfandel. In comparison, the '06 Reserve seems overdone and fake, while the '07 comes across as hotter and thinner fruit. This one is "stupid good"!

Cesare's Group (Home - Minnesota): Similar to prior tasting notes, this remains one of my favorite zinfandels. Brambly, honeycombed fruit on both nose and palate.

Once again hot initially after opening. Smoothed out with some time.

New Year's Week 2008/9; 12/28/2008-1/4/2009 (Northwoods): A bit hotter than prior btls, perhaps a tad less fruit. Update: after a day or two open, this rounded out and was every bit the wine that earlier bottles were.
