Pop and pour this was showing a bit oak and I wondered if I held it too long and missed the fruit. With about 30 minutes of air in the glass, the fruit emerged, the oak dissipated and this was delicious. It really hasn't changed a whole lot. Some complexity but more varietal than from age. Still, for under $20, this was a great QPR and I am in no hurry to open my remaining bottles.

Veleta Tasting with Juan Palomar and his wife. (NYC): easily the wine of the night for me. 40% cab sav / 40% cab Fr. / 20% temp. herbs, bell pepper, cherries. with yummy middle full of structure and chewy tannins. this is just plain good and at $15??!!! BUY!

Needs to be filtered -- very full of particulate matter, even on the first glass. But that doesn't take anything away from how wonderful it tasted.
