My first go w Domaine Coursodon, here w the fine, modern & tranquil Saint-Joseph Silice (v20, 14% ABV) - open & balanced by juiciness without being plump. Fragrant, open & potent nose w classic Syrah notes - white pepper en masse, dried herbs, fruit-forward & pure w blackberries, cassis, black olives leading to a m-bodied, sleekly framed palate. Flavours echoing nose up until mid-palate, fine minerality, decent complexity, surprisingly closing on a somewhat unbalanced note w a tad of alcohol/iron/blood heat/tang.

Soft, supple, lush, and elegantly styled, on the palate, the wine is spicy, olive tinged, medium-bodied, ripe, fresh, and sweet, this can be enjoyed in its youth for all of its vibrant fruits. Drink from 2023-2034.

Flickinger Warehouse Tasting (Chicago, IL): Surprisingly dark for St. Joseph. Sweet with tons of phenols and tannins; at this point this is a bit like drinking a barrel sample. Slightly bitter from oak tannins. Feels a little low in acidity too. I didn't get a good read on this wine; but the oak tannin note makes me slightly bearish though.

Mörkt röd. Medel+ tanniner. Bra balans och elegant. Ingen frukt som tar överhanden. Mycket bra.
