  Sunday, October 21, 2001 Light straw color with a clean look about it. Nose of fresh fruit, anise and pineapple. Similar flavors on the palate with a crispness that announced sauv. blanc in the glass. Good glycerol without oiliness. A slight creaminess to it, perhaps from a touch of vanilla on the palate. Good balance of acidity. For a weak Bordeaux year, this was a nice wine - especially for $9.00. A wonderful pairing with leek and bacon pancake and ’In the Shadow of the Thin Man.’ 10/20/01.
