Loved this wine. Had it at a dinner tasting a few months ago and bought one bottle to save for a good occasion. Christmas lunch was it, with Italian antipasti. Gorgeous deep golden color. Nice aromas of apricot and ... not sure, white truffles? On the palate, keeping in mind this is 10 years old and not a grand cru Burgundy, the fruit was a bit reticent but not gone. Lower in acid, smooth as syrup and good viscosity even with only 12.5 ABV. Tastes like apricots and honey, bordering on a dessert wine. Little bit of aged funkiness as well.

Winebow with Gianfranco D'Aniello and Angela Maculan; 9/11/2008-9/12/2008 (Crow's Nest and Orso): Still enjoyed the Falanghina more, but this was just a bit better than the Greco. Very steely, with another high minerality nose alongside stonefruits, nectarine. The palate is full of high acid up front, fleshy mid palate, and ending with a streak of minerality. This is again a very food friendly wine. All 3 whites were very nice.

This bottle over the hill, but in a most unpleasant way. Tasted like your mouth does when a dentist drills out a cavity.

Tasted at Le Cantine di Greve in Chianti.
Lots of buttery nuts and some citrus fruit. Some orange zest in the finish. Not really my bag of chips.

Fiano is very distinctive, almost resiny with high minerality, crisp acidity and an undercurrent of tangerines. Very good with garlic-y scampi
