  (Super decanted for 3 hours in a 1-foot wide stainless steel vat without lid in 16 C)
  
  This is another amazing Super Tuscan. Amicable, intense, long and beautiful. Reminded us of all the great btls of La Spinetta 'Pin' from 98-01 that we've enjoyed. Wanting to enjoy those one more time.
  
  Italian structure with a small piece of Bdx, including small stables. Still over on the tannic side, but has lots more to give.
  
  Oxidized nose, but pristine on the palate. (Cork literally exploded upon opening and several bits couldn't be completely extracted. So, brought the wine to the restaurant in a PET btl :-)
  
  Absolutely stunning today and married all dishes tonight at Pecorella.

  This was really nice pop and pour with smoked beef ribs, vibrant with richness, showing nice Sangiovese character along with the oak and a nice balance of fruit and acid. Second day still drank nicely but also showed its age with more stewed fruit and oak and less balance or vibrancy. Previous bottle opened about a year ago was terribly flawed, don't know if that's a problem with this wine or was just a fluke.

  Very good, indeed.
  Mature and singing.
  Mature, deep and complex nose, silky palate, fine fruit and spices.
  A treat tonight.
  Final bottle, and a good such.
