  • Solid, clean, fruity and authentic Cotes du Rhone (unlike some other producers' CDRs which are more like baby St Josephs or CDPs). A good CDR should be a medium-bodied grenache-heavy versatile bistro red IMHO, and this fits the bill, although a touch of tannic bitterness intrudes somewhat, making me think this could age for a couple of years to smooth out a bit. At least its not trying to be something it shouldn't.
