Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Bricked around the edges with some darker ruby in the core. Amazing nose showing damp earth, cloves and spicy red fruit. Medium bodied, this is very lean and austere upon opening. Some darker fruit peeks in, but acid is in front of everything. After a couple of hours of slow ox in the bottle, this opens up to show tart cherry, dried herbs and mushroom. The tannins wake up as well and show that this still has a very firm backbone. Good length.
