If Midcoast Maine gives you a raw Fall evening, you can wish yourself to Tuscany with Marcella beans from Rancho Gordo, a grass-fed steak from Riverside Butcher in Damariscotta (just ask for one), and you can treat yourself to a fabulous Chianti Classico from Monte Bernardi. And I gotta tell you, despite the seasonal affective disorder feels, things will seem better than okay, dear reader. And I’d like to take the time to note that Monte Bernardi don’t miss. 2018 surprises on the upside. Not to mention, it also reminds me I never buy enough of any of the cuvées. Thanks, Michael! Beautiful chianti - lifted and bright red cherry but also very mineraly and savory palate. Just beautiful.
