Enjoyed this (out; Stanley's) quite a bit while travelling to Vancouver, especially the bitter black olive finish. (vintage uncertain, but '19 on the online menu now)
Further to Dec 11, '21: Consistent notes--delicious everyday Pacific SW Bdx blend. Started "dumb" due to cold temp but blossomed once it reached cool room temp. Bought more of this one and have an '18 and several '20s now. Looking forward to the vertical.

Bought 3b for CAD 19/b with 5% mixed case discount (+ tax) from a local private chain in the Lower Mainland; this is #1. Screwcap. Decanted for 3h. Darker purple; fragrant ripe red fruit nose, some oak; ripe fruit, blackcurrants, well-integrated oak, good mouthfeel; some persistence. Added some complexity with 24h under vacuvin. Almost delicious; reminded me of best examples of good value, everyday Cali-WA Bdx blends. I've been sharing this one with friends and bought more, expecting it will do well for at least several more years. My evaluation: For my non-points, 4-level rating scheme, see earlier posts. This is outstanding- when considering quality, age, and price in the BCLDB environment (high taxes, highly regulated and protected).
